Donovan Georges, a 6'1/238 ILB from Champagnat Catholic HS in Miami, lists Pitt, USF, Colorado State, and FIU among his 4 schools he will visit, according to an interview with Scout.com. Georges was a former Georgia commit, and reportedly has had offers from Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Louisville, Miami, Michigan State, West Virginia, Indiana, Pitt, Syracuse, Temple, and Colorado State.

Impressive list of schools that reportedly has offered him, a consensus 3-Stars player.

The staff has been working to pull him in for a while. He's a great player. I like how he talked about FIU in the video. I think FIU lands him. For reference, here is the article and video:

Thanks for posting, 'Building. Seems as if he was pretty highly recruited earlier on and dropped off a little as time has gone by. Still, a beast hitting behind the line of scrimmage. He would be a tremendous get for FIU in this recruiting cycle.

According to this article Pitt and Colorado State are his top two choices. Though, if they're just writing that because of what he said in that video, I think that's totally misconstrued. However, I don't know if they have other information (doesn't really sound like it though).

FIU's most prominent target, Tayland Humphrey retweeted this out recently:

Obviously FIU isn't in the top 25, so I'm guessing he is referring to Oklahoma St., FIU's main competitor for Tayland... Not a good sign, in my opinion.

Not overly concerned. His younger brother, who seems to be a solid commit, tweeted the same thing. Maybe they're both Texas fans?

Jordan Dillard, a 6'4/170 WR from defending state champions Southridge HS just tweeted that his Top 4 are Temple, Appalachian State, Toledo and FIU. Reportedly, he lists offers from those 4 plus FAU and Southern Mississippi. He was previously committed to Toledo, decommitted from the Rockets but still lists them as one of his favorites. Rated by Miami Herald as the #117 overall ranked player in Dade and Broward Counties: http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/high- ... 44977.html

4-star WR from Miramar, Dominick Watt, has FIU in his top 10:

At this point, it's clear our main targets need to be the offensive line and DBs. And a solid QB once Alex leaves... I guess we'll see what Wiggins can do eventually.

We have two O-line commits currently, but neither have the size I would think Butch is looking for. I think Horton might even play DT. I'd rather bring in some 6-6 guys who are lean, but have a good frame and can put on some weight. Guys who can move and get a good push off the line...

4-star DT Tayland Humphrey is now unanimously CB'd to go to FIU by 247 Sports. Not sure what caused this recent change. According to one of his coaches, his top 4 list includes FIU, Oklahoma St., Alabama, and Louisville. Let's get him.

Here's a nice article about how FIU is making a push to recruit central FL more:

Consensus 3-star LB and former Georgia commit, Donovan Georges has listed FIU as his favorite right now over Pitt, Colorado St., and others. Donovan is a big-time player and would be a huge asset to the program. The coaching staff has been pursuing him for a while now. Would love to have him aboard.

Donovan would be perfect for our program. A local star with offers (at one time or another) from pretty much every top FBS school, who excels in getting after the QB while delivering vicious hits. Still way too early, but very encouraging news.

FIU made the top 5 list of Hamilton Hall, a 6'5" OT prospect from Atlanta, GA.

FIU also offered current Ole Miss commit, Jonathan Hess, a 6'5" OLB from Birmingham, AL. Hess is a consensus 3-star prospect. With all the controversy going on with the Ole Miss program, Hess is a candidate to flip, I think.

FIU is reportedly coming hard after current USF commit Dwayne Boyles, a 3-star OLB/DE prospect from Miami Central High, according to 247 Sports. Boyles will be making an official visit to FIU on Nov. 4, although Boyles claims he is still 100% in with USF. We'll see.
