Shamar Munroe, a 6’2/189 Athlete from Palmetto HS in Miami, has committed to FIU officially tonight. He is not rated so far by recruiting websites, and no offers reported for this talented athlete.

Highlight film: https://www.hudl.com/profile/6211775

Welcome to FIU, Shamar!

Shamar is really interesting prospect. Despite playing on a good Palmetto team this year, I can't find any other offers for him. It's rather confusing as he seems to have great ball skills and with decent twitch. I can actually see Shamar playing LB, as crazy as that may sound. That's the kind of athlete he is. The more likely scenario is safety, I think though.

I think what's been lost with Shamar is that he's listed as a dual threat QB/Athlete and on his twitter he mentions finally getting the chance at QB at some point in high school. He looked solid at safety but I think there's a chance we see him get a shot at QB. He also played at 3 different high schools and 3/4 positions which might explain why he has no other offers or star rating

All good and valid points. Welcome to the board. It would be interesting if he’s looked at as a QB. His highlight film doesn’t show enough of his throwing to see. At any rate, we can see he’s another gifted athlete capable of playing varios positions in college ball.

I am skeptical Shamar plays QB since he was visited by two defensive coaches during his in-home visit. But you never know...

Saw that the DB coach (Copp) and the DC were the ones making the visit. It may be a coincidence, but Inhappen yo side with ‘Building (again) that my guess would be defensive side of the ball. Still, a gifted athlete regardless of position.

If we are counting on a DB to come in and show something at QB for a BD team, then we are COMPLETELY screwed at that position. Come on, guys, get real. I know recruiting season is exciting and all, but...

Might be a stretch but I wouldn't know. Was just pointing out that 247 lists him at QB.
