Woods has 3 years to make an impact.

There is no mention of academic issues so he'll probably see a ton of playing time opposite to Fermin Silva.

That's true. If Woods is completely healed up then he will make a big impact on the field and will compete for massive amounts of playing time. I'm hoping he can produce what he was expected to produce at GT. C-USA is a very different conference than the ACC.

10?

That's crazy, we were ranked 10 with McGough last season. He'll maybe even 12.

Lol.

FYI I think our out of conference next year will be this:

Sep. 1: Indiana
Sep. 8: Random FCS team
Sep. 15: UMass
Sep. 22: @ Miami

We will have three home OOC games, and our "road game" is in the same county... I can dig that.

I like UM and Indiana, I'm ok with UMass. I hope we don't schedule and FCS team. We need to find an FBS opponent.

We can count one win against an FCS team every year for Bowl eligibility purposes, so I think it’s actually a good idea to try to secure an “on paper” easy victory that would qualify for Bowl game wins eligibility.

Our schedules after 2018 are pretty bare. I think we have a chance to get a 1 for 1 with a P5 team, with us playing the road game this year. Otherwise, Akron still needs a game, that's another 1 for 1 possibility. I think we need to start thinking about building the schedule for the next few years now.

Well, although I do see the want for an easy FCS program to get that "automatic" win for bowl eligibility purposes. But it's not always a lock. We still can't beat Bethune Cookman. I'd rather play a big name FBS program and earn our way in to the bowl games.

The Bethune game was four years ago... This team could beat them. And if you can't beat Bethune, you aren't becoming bowl eligible regardless. That argument makes zero sense to me. You still need to beat five other FBS bowl teams to "earn" your bowl eligibility anyway.
