Well, finally, it seems to be settled. FIU-UM game on for 2018, once again, date TBD according to David Neal's employer. So, will it be Maurice Alexander leading his inspired Panthers into Hard Rock Stadium next year?

Oh boy... here we go. As soon as we get a date and time we can have a count down.

I just hope we can keep this game respectable. On the field and on the scoreboard.

This game will get ugly fast if Butch doesn't find a grad transfer qb soon.

This is awesome to have the series going again. FIU isn't the only team who needs to find a new QB next year...

I too am very excited for the renewal of the series. However, am I the only one that wished it started up in 2019 like we thought? In 2019 we would have more of Butch's guys from his recruiting (not the leftover Turner guys). I believe we would have a much better shot, in 2018 Butch is still trying to get the program the way he wants it and all the players will not be the ones he picked.

You are not the only one. I too wish that 2019 date had stuck. We will be riding into death valley with an inexperienced QB at the helm next year, and I think we all know what the result is likely to be. Shades of our trip to play the Gators in Gainesville some years back. Of course, that was fun, in a masochistic way, and I am happy that the series with UM seems to be revived, mind you, but, with all apologies to Dr. Phil, I don't hold out much hope for a 2018 upset.

I hope we see a game more like when we played BAMA and not UF lol. We lost a lot of contributing seniors this year a lot of them were the best players at their positions (McGough, Wint, Treyvon, A1, Brad 27, Niko, TO). Yes we had an amazing recruiting class so far and some developing players that will step in but it'll be a tough game to say the least, specially if it's early on in the season which is the most likely scenario.

I forgot about that Bama game. Remember the opening kickoff?

And the final was 41-14.

Personally, I hope the days of moral victories are over.
