Let's go Panthers! I'm too hyped right now. Can't wait for 8pm. A fresh start to the season and teams out gunning for us! Let's roll over the green wave tonight!

Can't believe it's finally here!

I'm a little nervous to see how we hold up against the run... And against a talented running QB.

Tulane fans seem to think their defense will have no problem holding our offense. They are a little concerned with their QB and getting an early jump on us, but other than that they are very confident in their team.

I don't know if they noticed our offensive output last season, even against good defenses. Tulane fans claim we had a cupcake schedule.

Let's see what happens tonight at 8pm. I think we'll have a shoot out on the field and I'm hoping FIU can pull this one out. Tulane isn't going to lay down and die on us. This will be one of the tougher games on our schedule for sure.

Let's go Panthers!

Hello Fellow Panther Fans,

The day has arrived! A lot has been written and said by "experts" and the opponent's fans and there seems to be a significant number of our fans (some on this board) that have grave misgivings about this game. I firmly believe that this game will be the start of, and a statement of, how good this team really is and how far along Coach Davis has brought the program. I suspect that we are going to see a substantial victory by a margin wider than people anticipate. I say this because we are now a veteran team with a lot of in game experience and superb coaching which will serve us well in a "hostile" environment. Remember, good teams don't care where they play. In fact, good teams like to bury their opponent on the other team's home field! So be positive - it all starts tonight! FIUPhil

I am one of those predicting that we will lose this game. I guess I'm being cautious - keeping my emotions in check. If we can start of this season with a win, I will go completely with my heart and honestly believe we will go 11-1 for the year and be ranked by the time we get to the Miami game (which will be our only loss). If we lose on the other hand...

Put it down as a loss on the pick em because I have been hurt too many times by sports teams. Heres to fiuphil being right!

Same here. I'm being cautious. Been hurt too many times before and Tulane is a lot better this season than we are giving them credit.

I hope you are right, FIUPhil. I love your optimism. But longtime FIU fans have been let down so many times. So many times.

Honestly, I don't think you are giving Tulane enough credit. Their defense might be the toughest we play all year. Patrick Johnson is the best DE we'll play all year outside of the Garvin kid at the University of Coral Gables. We MUST protect Morgan in this game. Not only can we not win if they get constant pressure on him, but we can't risk getting him injured.

We've always struggled against teams exactly like Tulane... teams that can run the ball with a mobile QB. I'm still skeptical of our DL and LBs outside of anyone not named Sage. They need to prove tonight that they've made a big jump from last year. I was high on Jordan Woods last year but he let me down. They've moved him inside so hopefully he can finally live up to his potential. I would have felt a lot better if Tyson Maeva and/or Chris Whittaker were cleared to play this year.

Everyone just chill out and enjoy Coach Davis's masterpiece of how to coach and build a D1 football program. I admit I was not a fan during the Turner tenure but I am 100% on board now and I don't care about Tulanes QB. RB or DE because when the 4th quarter ends we'll be victorious plain and simple because we have the better program. Lastly, you're doing our players that are suiting up tonight a grave disservice mentioning players that have recently transferred and can't play. Shame on u.

Go Panthers.
