Personal sources? I don't see anything mentioned about it online.

I see. Well that's a shame then. Some mid-major will give him a chance one of these years and he will be absolutely program changing. I can also see him being loyal to that school.

I really hope it is not Jamion Christian. Took a look at his head coaching record, 101-95. The guy is barely able to break even. Looks like Anthony Evans 2.0

Agreed. Evans track record is very similar though actually much better his last two seasons at Norfolk. I don’t get considering a head coach that has proven to be mediocre in a weak conference and unable to advance past were they were for years just like Evans. Either hire a head coach that has excelled but needs a second chance or an assistant that hasn’t been a head coach before (and proven to be a bad HC) but has had a chance to learn for years from one of the best true head coaches in the game (Martin, Larranaga, Bennett, Krzyzewski, etc..).

These two names in the Tweet are pretty underwhelming.

I would have rather rolled the dice with Rick...

What we really need is a great recruiter. Basketball, of all sports, is the kind of sport that you can do well with a few great, star players. We really need to recruit, but it's hard. What do we have to offer?

We have a great location in Miami FL.
We have a great campus.

but as far as sports go... we have no (good) history. No proven long term success. No reputable coaching staff. Pretty bleak.

I had a nightmare. Rick Pitino went to FAU and won it all.

This is funny only because FAU already hired a coach... I think.

I feel like that is old news. Whoever gets hired will be way behind on building a staff and recruiting.

This guy seems more like a fan than someone in the know and is just rehashing the stuff reported previously. His suggestion of Charlton Young(43–84 head coaching record at Georgia Southern) sounds like he is making fun of the search.

I’d rather FIU take their time and get this right than make the wrong selection that would impact the program for years.
