bottom two don't go. Would give PG a hell of a head start on finding a power 5 assistant. Signing day is April 12th!

We lost to USM tonight after blowing an 8 point lead with five mins left in regulation and then a 6 point lead in OT with two mins left. We are 0-5 in OT games this season. We are not going to the C-USA tournament.

FIRE EVERYONE PLEASE

Why would we want to extend the debacle longer. This is a 3 year rebuild at least and with all the transfers I'm surprised that RPI is not a problem as well. Go F I U!

His recruiting has been atrocious, no foundation. Fire him the day after the season!

Honestly I see no hope for this team in the years to come... they have only gotten worse and no one cares about our basketball team. It's pathetic.

This team is so bad, they should fire him now so we can get an early start on the search.

Dead last. I give up on this program as long as Pete Garcia and president Rosenberg are here. One does nothing and the other one keeps promoting him.

I know we are quick to blame Pete Garcia but $$$$ Coach Evans has done a really poor job. Garcia found a stud in Richard Pitino. He came in had us one basket from the NCAA Tournament if I remember correctly and then left to Minnesota. Pete hit on that hire. To be honest when Evans was named I thought he'd have similar success. That couldn't be more wrong. We are TERRIBLE this year even considering FIU's low expectations. With all due respect to Coach Evans he has to be let go the moment the buzzer sounds for the final game and we have to bring someone in with a lot more energy. Recruit some FRESHMAN!

I agree with you, I had high hopes for Evans, similar to the hopes I have to Coach Melendez in baseball. He had gotten Norfolk into the tourney, they had an upset in the tourney. He was knows as a good recruiter and player developer and we got none of that.

Looks like the Miami Herald already has Coach Evans fired. Too bad. I thought we might have had a keeper when he was first hired but if this year's starting team, made up mostly by seniors, is the best we can put out on the floor, then, for maybe the first times ever, I might have to agree with the Herald. Thank you student-athletes for your dedication to the university and thank you Coach Evans, but it is time to turn the page. We need men's basketball to take a giant step forward, like football and hopefully baseball has done, in order for FIU to gain some intercollegiate athletic relevance on the local sports pages and around the country.

Yep, Evans must have started to drink the same juice Ron Turner was quaffing. Hasta, Prof Evans. Anyone know whatever happened to Brown Bull, the seven foot Native American kid from Mt. Rushmore, or some such place? Homesick? No good in the end? Que?

Yes, we didn't get in. But, once, Pete dismisses Coach Evans, where do we start to look for a replacement? How long will it take this new coach to get his team together and start recruiting? Getting rid of Coach Evans is the easy part. The hard part comes with rebuilding the staff and getting kids interested in the program and FIU.

Simple! You grab a coach with local ties and a national recruiting reputation from a power 5 and call it a day!
