Was at the game with most of Sec 112 for our yearly (?) basketball tailgate. Very entertaining game that was close throughout. ODU got a tip in with under 2 seconds left. Missed free throws and two empty possessions with under 2:30 to play were the difference. The boys fought hard tho, and it's clear that they will at least be competitive in C-USA. Right back at it on Thursday against WKU on beIN Sports at 8pm.

Well, we barely lost to a pretty good ODU team (should have won), there's a bright side. And like mentioned, at least we are competitive against the conference. B est the team has played since the Pitino season.

I saw a couple games in December. They are playing an enjoyable style to watch and Beard is talented. But they don't have any size to speak of and are kind of like the Heat this year, over-achieving. Beard can create but he is small and against a team that is athletic in the paint, he has a pretty hard time of it. If they could go .500 this year in the conference and recruit some beef they could turn into something down the road. Obviously the coach is no slouch to come in and patch together a .500+ crew on the spur of the moment. Forget the strength of schedule complaints--nobody's been able to put a cohesive team on the floor since Pitino, up against the Little Sisters of the Poor or whomever.
