Conference USA found itself in an even more challenging and difficult position as they engage in contract talks for a new TV deal.( The current tv deal runs out in 2016 and is split between Fox, CBS and the American Sports Network for a reported 14 million annually) . Challenging and difficult because Conference USA is the first G5 conference needing to sign a new tv deal in the midst of the G5 vs P5 era of college football

Thanks for sharing, chiapanther. Interesting bits of info there, but as you said, it appears that money will come down from approximately $1 million per year per school to about $430K per team per year. It's a $570,000 per year reduction if what is written in this article turns out to be what happens. Let's hope at least exposure is there for our teams. Still $430K more than at the Sun Belt.

Although ESPN has televised Conference USA's football championship game and most of it bowl games, regular-season C-USA contests haven't been on the network since 2011, when C-USA signed new agreements with Fox Sports and the CBS Sports Network.

Those contracts, as well as one with the American Sports Network, expires at the end of June.

Getting Conference USA back on the nation's oldest and most popular cable TV sports network was a priority for league officials.

Looks like around $500k a year and the 4th network is bein sports, which I get on UVerse.

We’ve chronicled Conference USA’s reduced rights fees with the latest story this week being that the conference will have to make due with less money with ESPN, CBS Sports Network, American Sports Network and a 4th television partner airing the league’s games. The 4th TV partner was a mystery, but we now know who that mysterious partner will be.

It seems that 4th partner is none other than beIN Sports. It made the announcement at its upfront presentation to advertisers on Monday.
